Dr. Wuest
Veterinarian
Dr. Frank Wuest is a graduate of University of Illinois in 1998 with a doctorate in veterinary medicine. His education also includes a bachelor in business management from Southern Illinois University.
Dr. Wuest and his wife call Hickory home. Currently they keep their hands full with never ending home improvement projects, their daughter, triplet sons, German shepherd, Border terrier, Yorkshire terrier, and 4 cats.
Dr. Anton
Veterinarian
My name is Dr. Alan Anton, and I am semi-retired. I practice small animal medicine on a relief basis now. After graduation from Michigan State University, I started out working at the Animal Hospital of Wilkes, a mixed animal practice (farm animals and pets). After two years I purchased Donahue Animal Hospital in Morganton. After renaming it I worked there for 40 years. Working at Blue Skies now helps to keep my mental veterinary intelligence challenged.
I have been married to my wife, Patricia, for 13 years. Combined we have three children and four grandchildren. I have also had a host of dogs, cats, fish, horses, birds, and even a monkey. I look forward to helping you with your pet's needs.

I'm Linda, the bookkeeper for Blue Skies Veterinary Hospital.
My husband, son and I love cats! Although I don't work directly with the animals, I enjoy seeing their cute, furry faces throughout the day. I have gained so much knowledge about animal behavior, disease and preventive medicine since coming to Blue Skies.

Receptionist
Kim has been a receptionist here at Blue Skies since 2018. She is originally from Maryland, and moved here when she attended App State and fell in love with this beautiful state.
She has a deep love for animals and has an Australian Shepherd, Leo. Her hobbies include relaxing by the lake, painting, and antiquing. She looks forward to greeting all your fur babies!

Brandy is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) who has worked in the veterinary field since 1999. She graduated with her RVT license in 2005. She has been a pivotal member of the Blue Skies team since 2005. Her household incudes her husband, 2 children, mutt "Clover" and kitty "Dandelion".

Kristy has a huge heart for all animals and has been with Blue Skies Veterinary Hospital since 2019. She has 7 years of experience in the veterinary field.
She loves the outdoors and especially paddle boarding on the lake with her pup Chloe while enjoying country music.

My name is Ashley, and I started working in animal medicine back in 2007.
I have always had a passion for animal care, even as a young child. I moved to the Hickory area several years ago, and I've been a technician here at Blue Skies since 2018. I have one cat and one rat terrier of my own, and I can't wait to meet your fur babies too!

Brittney knew from a young age that she wanted to work with animals. She decided to follow her passion and love for animals and joined our team in June 2020. She enjoys reading and spending time with family, friends, and her Weimaraner Mix, Riggs.

Meleah is a registered Veterinary Technician with a BS in Biology from Campbell University and a MS in Veterinary Biomedical Science from Lincoln Memorial University. She has experience with small and large animals, exotics, and zoo animals and has been in the field since 2013.
She has been married to her husband, Joseph, since 2018. She is the proud dog mom of two corgis, Deku and Eevee. In her free time she paints pet portraits.

Kendall has a passion for all animals, big and small. She has been in the veterinary field for 4 years. She enjoys rodeoing and spending time with family and friends. She has an Aussie, Tipsy, and a German Shepherd, Wrangler. You can find her riding horses and hanging out with her dogs in her free time.
